Calling out all Mustang GT owners with a manual trans~
Is it me or my driving habits or maybe I am just freak..Anyways, how much do you have to depress your clutch until your clutch grabs and you can go. It seems as if I have to depress my clutch 3/4s before it catches the flywheel. Am I the only one experiencing this or did my hard shifting and a few 360s catch up to me at 4K miles? All and any info will be greatly appreciated

I have to let off about 3/4 before it engages. It seems (in my experience) stock vehicles with hydraulic clutches tend to grab a little higher, and in much shorter a movement. I shift easily depressing ½ way.

1/4 from the floor? Wow, that's low. I wonder how it could vary so much. I don't know much about these, but in the cable days you used to be able to adjust the height of the grab. I like it higher so I don't have to go to the floor when shifting. Comes in handy in certain situations!
Yah, I think he meant release not depress.

Sorry about that,I meant to say release and not depress. When I release the clutch,it catches 3/4s of the way before the pedal cannot move any more.I just wanted to make sure my clutch wasn't on the verge of going out on me

there is a lot of variation car-to-car. 3/4 is not unusual (my '06 mustang is about 1/2way, my CTSV is closer to 3/4, my 5.0 mustangs (all 3 of em) were almost all at the 3/4 mark.
