Default BOSS 302 CYLINDER BLOCK

Just noticed that it is featured on the home page of frpp website. Coming early 2007

BOSS 302 CYLINDER BLOCK

Would this fit just fine in our GTs???
I think the price is not bad at all. I would consider swapping it if I can get more details about what is involved parts and labor wise!

If your GT is a 1994 or older it should fit just fine. It will definitely fit in the modular engine bay as the small block (Windsor) is very narrow compared to the modular (Romeo). This will require significant modification to the engine mounts as the Windsor small blocks and the Romeo modulars are completely different animals.

Not to mention you will have to get all the parts needed to complete this engine as none of the exhaust or induction will transfer to the Windsor block.

Would it actually bolt flush to the stock transmission or would you have to go aftermarket tranny as well? Just something else to consider... an aftermarket tranny could run you like 4k

There is a LOT of difference between this block and the 4.6 block.

The Boss 302 is a pushrod style engine. Literally every part is going to be different than the new modular engines. Heads, intake, Motor mounts, exhaust, transmission, starter, accessories...everything will have to be custom.
