it should be pretty even...02 camaros have i think 310hp 340 torque 3439 pounds...and ur car has 305hp 320 torque 3488 pounds...i would say a few bolt ons u should be able to beat him.

Alright, how does this sound for a mod list?

C&L CAI + Brenspeed Tune
Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter
Steeda UDP
JBA Long Tube Headers
Borla Axleback Exhaust

Are camaro's just as moddable as mustangs are, by that I mean are there just as many companies producing aftermarket parts that add as much power to a Camaro as there are for the Mustang?

The small block Chevys were the most produced block on the planet, with tons of aftermarket companies producing mods for them.

High twelves is kinda rare stock from what I've seen. I had a buddy hit 12.9 in his huggar orange ss, but he toasted the clutch on that run, and he has headers, and a lid, and a few free mods. I ran the same as a black ss with the CME at the track when I went. And I'm stock (well mufflers and a shifter). So I agree...work on the driving, that'll be your best and cheapest mod. And yes...Camaro's are very moddable... A friend of mine is goin with a cam a step above the Z06 cam, and AFR heads (don't remember the specs) but he's looking to get around 420-430 to the ground out of it. From what I understand, you'd be better off with the CAI, 4.10 gears, and the shifter. I did the mufflers first because that is somethin I enjoy everytime I start the car and drive it, but its not the first thing you'd wanna do performancewise. I really like the short throw shifter, you'll wonder how you drove the car with the stock throw. Hope this helps!

No bolt on in the world will help you beat that Camaro if you contnue to shift like you did. But seriously, I would'nt fool with a Camaro of that year. Remeber, he has had a few years to dial his car in.

Yea, Stock for stock the camaro is a faster car. The LS1 is rated at like 310 HP but actuall puts around 305 Horses to the Ground.

If you want to run with stock z28's, a Tune and 4.10's will have you eating them. Just hope he isn't H/C/I [8D]

Just put a blower on your car and give those 3.73's there full use.

Most LS1 F-Body Drivers will be running mid 13's which is what a good driver in a stock S197 GT will run.

Both of our cars are extremely moddable but I would give the edge to the maro beucase of the Forged internals.

I did a 70 MPH punch race with one a couple of months ago. He was pretty fast, but as I hit 125 he was about 6-8 car-lengths back. So I just pulled in front of him and chilled. He came alongside with a thumb's up and a wave. Even so, a civic could probably beat me off the line with my current tires...

If the Camaro is 310 hp, how is it that it puts 305 hp to the wheels if our 300 hp car puts 265 to the wheels?
