they are high 12 low 13, average for the s197 is high 13s unless your a freak like doodad then you can pull mid 13s[8D]

LSx engines do not come with forged internals.

average for the s197 is high 13s unless your a freak like doodad then you can pull mid 13s
i would just supercharge yours. most of them are good for mid-low 12's on some good tires.

The 02 SS/Z28 are underrated at 320HP. They actually make close to 360 from the factory.
Otherwise the LS1 has to have "miraculously" lost 40HP by being put into those cars.
Watch out, they're wicked fast and every 5 dollars you spend to get power is equal to them spending a dollar.
LS1 FBody + Cam = 11sec car, for the most part.

If I bought LT Headers/CAI/Tune/ and a short throw shifter would that make my car faster or atleast give me a chance?
A good CAI and tune + some good driving would get you there. I beat one with just a CAI and tune and I spanked another with the addition of 4.10's.

If nothing else, remember that Camaros are not exactly rolling off the assembly line anymore. Mustang won the muscle car wars, and GM's sales prove that. Sure, the SS is awesome and can beat a lot of stangs, but pit one against a stock 07 GT500 and see what happens. People prefer mustangs, which is why they are still making them, and lots of them.
