Default Off road H Pipe install

All righty,

So ive been super busy and haven't had time to really poke around the underside of my car.
I am planning on getting an off road h-pipe and was just wondering how hard it would be to install?

I usually do my own work on my car, and this would be my first real mechanical job on the car.

Simple few bolts from the headers, few brackets /hangers here and there and thats about it?

Any potential issues with fitment / alignment that could come into play?

I am thinking about getting a pypes off road h-pipe.

TIA.

The pypes O/R H-pipe comes in two pieces. So first get them in the hangers/lined up on the headers before you put them together, and even then don't clamp them down. Get everything lined up and perfect before you snug it all. The 02 sensors are a bitch to remove and reconnect, only one of them anyway. A swivel attachment and long extention make the job easier. Use some CRC or something to help loosen the bolts. Can be done in the driveway, but a lift makes it a lot easier.

I just did mine the other night.

Jack up car and place on jack stands. 2 would work, 4 is better. Use pentrating lube on the manifold bolts. I unplugged and removed the 3 o2 sensors on the car. The front passenger o2 sensor connector is a pain to get to. Remove the battery/tray and get this unplugged from the top in the engine bay. Certainy use the swivel attachement and a long extension and the job will be a piece of cake. You might have to loosen up the axle back muflers to realign

One little tip, use permatex anti sieze on the o2 sensor threads when inserting them into the new h pipe. I also used a floor jack to center the h pipe in the hangers when I tightened everything up. I did not have to re-align my Violator axleback.

I think the o2's are 22mm but an adjustable wrench works just as good on 'em.

I said that because after so many people seem to be installing O/R pipes some people might start to think its legal
last time I was at the track there was one person I talked to that didn't know what cats were and planed to install an O/R pipe without any knowledge of the legality of it
so in some groups its posable for a few to forget the legality of it or not know it to begin with

Just an FYI: be prepared for a major increase in exaust fumes. I had the pypes o/r X pipe on for less than a week. I could not handle the smell of the exaust.
