Hey, since you have to get a new hood anyway, why go stock again??? Since they are going to be paying for the labor and the stock hood the difference of an aftermarket hood will not be that much. You should tell them to cut the check to you and you can order a hood like the California Dream hood (my personal favorite).

I got hit in my front bumper a couple of weeks ago and instead of going stock, I got a Roush Front fascia and am only gonna have to pay about a $200 difference since the other guys insurance will cover the rest. Just food for thought...
Sweet idea, go California dream!

...I would suggest that every time you are in an accident you call the cops....
from the insurance side i CAN'T agree with you more!!...

unless it's someone you personally know, always always always call the cops (unless you're at fault of course b/c you'd probably get a ticket if the cops showed up :-)

but i cant tell you how often people get burned by drivers who convince them not to call the cops, end up having no insurance, and then disappear completely when the non-fault party attempts to collect from them...

calling the cops wont guarantee they have insurance, or that your car will get repaired by them, but most importantly, it gives you an official record of the time and place of the accident and the other drivers involved...because IF you ever have to pursue someone directly for legal action, they can't claim they weren't at the scene of the accident and now YOU, the innocent party gets screwed....
