Default RE: Beating the old oil question

the only thing conventional oil is ggod for is seating the Piston rings
for the diff it should be fine to go strait to High Performance Full Synthetic oil

Also. i believe if you change your rear diff cover to a aftermarket, it wont clear the panhard brace, i remember reading a article that BMR has a panhard relocation bracket that moves it out about a Inch, so it clears...

Might want to double check on that....

The point wasn't that the Redline would be bad or hurt anything. The point is why spend the money when it will be drained in 500 miles. that to me is a waste and not needed during break in.

If you want 0w-20 then motul makes it, as for break in, I will still use redline in the diff during break in. It is not THAT expensive.

0W-20 would be nice but I want to stay with RP and well it never gets to -70F but tests I've seen show it would out perform 5W-20

Why would you want to change the diff cover?

I think he would want to change the cover for one with a drain plug for easier fluid change

Why do u want to change the fluid on ur diff more than a couple of times? If I am not mistaken you dont really need to change it since it does not get contaminated like engine oil does
