I have had the Mac axlebacks for about a year now and the drone got to me. After searching and listening to everyone else i decided to add 40 sq ft of secondskin to my trunk and rear seat floor board. I then used some closed cell foam around the rear wheel wells and quarter panels. It helped significantly IMO. The sound is now consistent throughout the rpm's and the road noise is much better

I forget where I saw it, but there is sound deading material that you can use under the car (waterproof). Ford uses it in some places under the car. I would put that in the area above the muffler (under the car) or on top of the muffler itself. I personnally would not go through the expense of dynomatting the entire trunk and rear floor.

Wow, just listened to the video. Too much drone for me. Cars don't have to be loud to be fast. Like a little less boom boom myself.

I put the macs on too...they were extremely loud when i first put them on but after driving a summer with them i dont really notice the drone inside the car anymore. i think they sound bad *** outside the car though.
