Default Is a magnetic oil filter that important?

Anybody use one? If I change every 3000...do I need it? There are so many vendors saying you need certain products to perserve your engine blah blah blah -- I just don't know who to believe anymore. Any ideas my fellow Mustangonians...lol...man I'm goofy today. But seriously...let me know. Cheers.

Current oil filters are designed to filter out all of those things that the magnetic filter claims to catch. Save your money for a couple gallons of gas instead

If you really want to go with one, look up griotts garage, they have a magnet that slaps on the side of the filter can and is reusable. Plus griotts has all sorts of nice car care goodies and garage toys.

I see cars with 200,000 miles plus all day long that never use them, and use regular oil vs synthetic. I think its a buncha bs.
Why am I using Mobile one tho, lol

seriously, if you want scientific data on what type, size, charactieristics of the particles captured by magnetic flux filtration, see this linky:

http://www.bossproductsusa.com/oem.html

mostly, it's about transmissions, but you get the idea, i hope.
