Wolfey,

I see that you are in NoVA. I an not sureif I have the thunking problem or not. I am also pretty damn tired of dealing with Koons Ford/Sterling.Do you have any suggestions on where I could go to get this looked at? It would be nice if they looked the other way considering my intake and tune, but I can remove if necessary.

Well, we're almost there!
Geesh!
Bascho says the partis available for ordering.

Here's what my service manager just told me via email.

"Hey wolfman! How's it goin?,
Spoke to engineering group this AM. They show this part # in supply
system. They show that the TSB for "chuckle" iswaiting for publication.
Until all components are in stock to effect repairs, they cannot
actually look at the bulletin, or see the part no.s for the requisite
components. Until that time, a WARRANTY fix is NOT available.
We will let you know when it is.
Howard"

I suppose this means that you can order and receivethem now but you'll have to pay for the parts andinstallation until Ford gets their sh*t together!
Geesh!

Sorry guys! Hang in there!

I've recently relocated to NoVA - who has the best warranty/service out here?

Hello Guys-

I got the new strut mount part numbers on my Shelby GT 500 last friday, and it is quiet as it should have been from the factory! Parts came in within 2 weeks, and that is what the fix is . About time I should say!! Just wanted to let you know./Now I can drive with peace of mind that the noise is GONE.
regards-

Enjoy your quite ride!

Hey Dave, that's great news! I'm happy for ya.
Would you please forward the contact information of your dealer/service person and phone number so I can call and get the scoop on how they pulled it off?
I'm really trying to figure out why I am getting conflicting reports from my dealer as recently as today!
Thanks ahead of time!

Wolfey-

I just told the parts manager what the part number was. He ordered two a few weeks ago, and the number came up good - They were first on 'D99' status for 10 days, but then arrived last tuesday. I had them installed last friday, and have been in a good mood since. Mike at Shults Ford/Mercury ordered them . No big deal actually; just a new '08 part number. They are in the distribution centers now!
