This happenned to me a few months back actually! I didn't bother posting about it, but I was taking off full tilt on a straightway, I caught second gear full throttle and let off the gas, but the car kept accellerating, I hit the clutch in and she just hit the rev limiter. I shut off the car, turned it back on and it was good to go....hasn't happenned since, so I thought it could have been a fluke or the pedal sticking temporarily on the floor matt........never was able to verify it was the matt though, but can't disprove it either.

ROFLMAO- I was at the track one night running the 1/8 mile. I made it all the way to the finals and redlighted. Had a friend there and we decided to enter the co-pilot class. He hopped in the passenger seat and away we went, through the traps and were still screaming at WOT.[
] The barrels at the end of the track were coming up fast! He was videoing the run. I turned to him and said "Throttle's stuck"! I though he had wet himself from the look on his face![8D] I kicked the pedal and it came back to idle. Off to the pits. Looked everything over, scratched me head. How could that happen on a fly-by-wire I thought. Lined up on the tree again, down the track, through the traps and stuck at WOT again! I had to shut the key off that time. Went back to the pits and played with the pedal until it happened. It was wedging under the front edge of the floormat. [&:]

Maybe it's just a Mustang thing cause it happened with my father's '71 Mustang, which just had a 2 barrel carb.
Imagine the look of horror on my teenage face when I reached down to pull the WOT pedal up and it didn't stop it!
