Plastic cover over tail lights will not stay on
Guys,
My plastic cover that covers the tail lights in the trunk will not stay in place on the passenger side. I've pushed the plastic piece back on several times but it will not stay in place. It appears that the trunk lid is rubbing thus pushing down on that side of the trunk.

Is there nothing we can do? I've tried to wrap the bolt with electrical tape in hopes that the push pin would "grab" tighter but that didn't work. Are we the only ones with this problem?

I've tried tape too without luck. Took it into Ford and they saw my subwoofers and said they couldn't fix it. I'd like an aluminum replacement **** to screw on there. Those plastic retainers are cheap!!
I'd also like a cargo net or something to hold small items in the trunk.

Stop pushing them on and screw them on. Also they are to long. Ford had a different fastener on those bolts to begin with and it was shorter had actual threads on the inside of the plastic bolt and also used a star fitting on the head to screw it on and off. The big problem is Ford no longer even offers those types since they switched to the stupid ones you guy are dealing with. I was able to locate two of the screw on types from a dealership back in Florida but every time my local dealer orders the number that has the threads it supercedes to the crappy ones. I would suggest that you go buy two new ones do not push them on and then also wrap the bolt with one layer of duct tape and then thread the new ones on.
