Weatherstrip / window seal care

Weatherstrip / window seal care
So its getting colder where i live, and frozen doors is something that is comming to mind.
Usually my car is garaged, but there are certain circumstances when i have no choice but to leave it outside.
Is there anything to treat the weather stripping to keep them from drying out and also from keeping the door from freezing?
WD-40 is not a good idea correct?
TIA

I second the motion that it's a good idea to clean the seals and apply a good vinyl/rubber protectant on all door and trunk seals before Old Man Winter sets in. They'll be more pliable as well as lubricated to help seal during the cold weather.

For this application, the Mustang owner's manual calls for the use of silicone based lubricant. I bought a can at Advance Auto Parts.
I'm sure Armor All is great and for all I know it is silicone based - but I don't know. [8D]
This stuff is also great for spraying onto any moving parts (as well as weather stripping) of garage doors!
