Default O/D off Flashing? plz Help!

I was driving normally yesterday when my O/D off light started to flash! the funny thing was I was actually on my way to my dealership. This was a 25 mile journey, I told myself not to stop and shut the car off. I didnt want to shut the engine down and then it wouldnt start after. I figured that the ECU detected a malfunction in the transmission.. but i dont know into detail what that really means.. did anybody else experience this? what could have caused this to happen? I went to my dealership, turned off the car, and restarted the engine.. there was no O/D off light flashing... should I still bring it in, even if its not flashing anymore? heres a video clip I took with my camera phone.. sorry for the poor quality..

any help would be greatly appreciated...

I had this happen to me in my Crown Vic company car. I read up on it on the internet...

Basically, if it means the same thing on your car, you are going to experience a catastrophic transmission failure.

I brought it in to the shop and they put a new transmission in it.

I just did a google and it can mean a variety of things. From a bad electrical connection to a fully failed transmission. The computer has to be checked for error codes, so, yes, take it in ASAP!!

And hopefully you're still under warranty...

I ran my OBDII reader and it showed these two codes

P0340 - Camshaft position sensor A-circuit (bank1 or single sensor)
P0456 - Evaporative Emissions system Leak Detected (very small leak)

I tried to schedule a appointment buy my dealership has a 1 week waiting list.. oh well, ill just keep driving it for another week, if it breaks down my stealership will pay for it... and im still under 100% warranty coverage..
