Default Anyone use xenon bulbs?

If so, how long have you been using them, what brand, had any problems? I noticed today that I had no headlights, only the fog lights were working. Pulled the bulbs out at lunch and noticed the bulb and pigtail were burnt. I'm going back to the place I bought them from after work to see if they will do anything. It's only been 3 months. I had ones in my 2004 for about a year w/ no problems

Ive used em before, they definitly are WAY brighter than factory, thought I had my brights on they were so bright. But unfortunatly they burned out after 9 months or so, so the longevity goes out the window.

I'm not talking about the bulb burning out. i'm talking about the wiring burning

I used them in my old car and burned the harness. I figured out it was because I put higher wattage bulbs in than the factory spec. The wiring is barely rated for the 55/65watt bulbs that are factory (I think that is the wattage on the OEM bulbs, I may be off a little) but if you put 80/100watt xenon in there, you will most definately burn the harness. After I replaced the harnesses and bought the lower wattage xenon bulbs, I didn't have a problem for the next two years until I traded the car off for my 'stang.

Problem is, the damn harness at my dads cost (ford parts employee) is $46 EACH. If they don't work after I put the stock bulbs in, I'm gonna throw some **** at the place who sold me them. I didn't pick out those bulbs, those are the ones they picked for me to use

The wattage between the xenon and stock bulb are the same. Why would it burn/melt?
