I'm pretty sure the count on the speakers is, 2 5x7/6x8 plate speakers containing a 4" and a tweeter in the doors (total of 4 speakers), 2 8" Subs in the doors, 2 5x7/6x8's in the rear.

I think the other two speakers are in the maplight bezel, someone else said those were sensors for the security system. However they look like small (very small) tweeters to me. Who knows?

Know what you mean, when I was buying my 06 stang I asked the salesman, where are the other two speakers? No one could figure that one out.
