07 V6 vs Inifinit G35 coupe

07 V6 vs Inifinit G35 coupe
What will it take beat beat a stock G35 with triptonic trans? I have a 2007 V6 with manual trans. My friend just got either an 05, 06, or 07 (not sure) G35 coupe and from what I have read it has 275 hp. I want to challenge him but first I want to be sure I'll beat him. The only thing he says he plans on doing is getting 20" rims. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've read and I'm proabaly wrong here but the only way to get the stangs up to those numbers is FI...
BUT I have also read that a simple N02 up grade can do the trick... for a couple races anyways...don't think N02 is good for the car...

Well, the new g35 auto has about 280 HP the manual has 300...my unlce has a brand new g35 manual n im stock 2005 GT i took him by about 1 1/2 lengths but he will walk ur v6 man sorry

Sorry man my buddy with his G35 4-door woops my butt as soo as that thing revvs up. I get him off the line for a little bit but thats it....he takes that thing up to 140mph all the time easily and fast. Of course I installed the intake and exhaust hes got...lol

Dont bother you will be walked. My cousin is a car sales man and he was driving the g35 coupe and I was racing him in my mustang a 5spd v6 could do nothing just leave him alone. However if it was my brothers car it would most likely be a different story.

What issues has the G35 had? I have an 05 and it has no problems. Actually a very fun car to drive. If there are issues I want to know what to look for. As for out running a GT I ran it and my 05 GT with C&L CAI/tune. They matched up off the line and until the GT hit about 3,000 rpm then it was over for the G35. Still a fun and classy car to drive IMO.
