My stang makes a loud whining noise sounds when I start it up anyone else have this? Only really happens when its cold...

I think mine does it too. Cold weather is never good for anything electronic. It's in the 20's today in NYC and I'm not even going to try and start the poor thing.

Could be the good old Ford PS pump, both of my stangs do it until it warms up a couple of minutes.

Yes, mine makes that noise all the time. Although, I didnt notice it until the pulley and water pump install, so Ive always blamed it on the water pump. (shruggin)

btw, I installed those last summer.

I had the same problem with my wife's GT. The dealership changed the Throttle body and the Fuel pump. Not sure which it was making the noise. Gotta love those mechanics at the dealers, I mean parts changers. If it wasn't under warranty I would have done it myself.

Likely the alternator pulley. I thought there was a message out about it but I can't seem to find it. I will post the number if I do.
