the Numbers & Times are in for the new mods
Ok I'll start out with the Dyno numbers.
The car was a little lean and with the C&L racer MAF it needed a little work on the MAF transfer function to get the readings on point with the flow.
After Justin at VMP Tuning did his magic on it the final numbers were 321.79rwhp and 338.53rwtq. These are SAE corrected numbers. (Attached you will find a JPEG of the graph)
Next we come to the track. Let me explain the night. First run I found out that with my limited traction and new found power I no longer could trap in 3rd gear. Just before the traps I nailed my 6800rpm rev limiter.. I don't know where I put the slip (I think its still in the car) but I ran a 13.01x at over 110mph.. So I'm now going to list my next three runs.
Its listed 60', 1/8th, 1/8th mph, 1000', 1/4th. 1/4th mph
1 2 3
2.119 2.007 1.991
8.503 8.376 8.295
86.62 86.88 87.26
10.937 10.804 10.714
13.000 12.861 12.851
109.34 109.63 105.27
Now first thing you can see is that I was getting better at the launch, the new powerband I found is much easier on the launch and I was bogging it to much at first and on the last pass was able to get a sub 2.0 and if I had another pass probably could have done better as it still bogged a little.
Next you will see that on the third pass I was on my way to at least a 12.6 maybe even a 12.5 run, but missed the 4th gear shift. You can see the 1/8th times were sweet but I'm not used to power shifting into 4th and I think I need to get a tri-ax shifter, as I don't like the feel of the stock when trying to nail 4th gear,
A member from Mustang Forums was at the Dyno with me, getting his 01 GT dyno tuned as well. He took some vids of my car on the dyno with his digi cam so when I get them from him I will link them for you guys to see.
I'm really stoked about how the car is running and VERY impressed with the numbers it put down on the dyno.
I can't wait to get some DR's mounted on the take off rims I have and see what she can do with some low 60's.
Also today I ordered the BMR Front suspension package as well as the Panhard bar and sawybar relocate brackets from lethal. I'm picking up the BMR Level 3 rear control arm pack at BMR (I can pay cash and save on shipping and taxes this way as lethal can't sell the package. BMR has some weird vendor thing on the packages)
I'll be looking for solid low 12's very soon with the DR's and suspension

RE: the Numbers & Times are in for the new mods
When you are slamming it into gear with a 6000+ rpm powershift the stock shift gates suck.. Plus I hardly ever have to shift that hard into 4th. I always trapped at the top of 3rd with the car before.

110.xx MPH TRAP!!!! ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME!!!!!
God my local tuner sucks. I'm lucky to get 105 and my mods are almost the same (C&L, LT's, No Cats, UDP's, ect) No wonder I can barely break 12's, and I've even got a 4.10 gear and DR's. I wish I had a good local tuner. The fact that I'm a convertible probably doesn't help either, but my trap should at leat be alost closer to 108+. The power and throttle response just arn't there.
I've been trying to get in touch with Doug from alaBama-Chips for over a week to send me one of his tunes, be he's never gotten
back to me.
Those are excellent times man. Keep it up.

Awesome runs, I have stock 3.55 gearing and i shift at 6400-6500 rpms at the track and go through the traps in third gear at about 6250-6300 rpms @106 mph, but i'm only making 300rwhp. Seems to me if you are making enough horsepower that you have to shift to fourth gear to finish the run a set of 4.10 gears would be perfect for you. This way you are shifting in to fourth gear just after the 1/8 mile mark instead of right before the traps. 4.10 gears will put you in fourth gear from about 90mph on up to your 109-110 trap speed rather than shifting to 4th right before the finish line with the 3.55 gears, this will slow your et's down.
