Default RE: Can the key fob be replaced?

The key and the fob can me fabbed to be put together.
If you take apart the fob there is empty space above the battery on the battery side.
just have to notch the top of both halfs so the key sticks out.
Cut all the plastic of the key top and cut the head of the key down to fit in that empty area of the fob.
Don't forget some no conductive silicone so the metal key doesn't touch the back of the fob circuit board.
and some sealant around the notch where the plastic meets the key, to keep moisture out.

Oh, does our key have the chip in it sercurity? If so, have to get a valet key, or some how get the chip out of the key head with out damaging it.

Voila.

I'm going to try it over xmas break.

cheers!
