Hey guys,

My dad was taking a CD out of the radio a few days ago and while it was removing it he started up the car and the CD got stuck inside and it won't come out. Anyways does anyone know how to remove the radio? I'm assumimg you need some kind of special tool. Thanks for any help.

BTW it's a Shaker 500 if that matters.

Hey Eric,
No special tool. Just take the center console off, take the side rails next to the radio off, and it will reveal the screws holding the radio in......

phillips screwdriver and 7mm hex driver...plus there is no need at all to remove the center console, just the side pieces and you can pop it out easily. oh ya, you will need a torx bit as well to get the a/c board off of the front plate

WOW BEAUTIFUL DIAGRAMS!! I did mine the hard way by experimenting with it for hours trying to figure it out. Never would have thought you'd have to pull the center console!! [:@]

Does anyone know how to remove cd's from the radio? Or should I just take it to the dealership?
