Default Washer Fluid Smell

I've had my '06 coupe for a few weeks now, and whenever I use the windshield washer, I can distinctly smell the fluid from inside the car (it's a strong odor). I haven't checked the passenger floorboard for leaks, but I will tomorrow (it is supposed to rain tomorrow). Has anybody else experienced this???

I've noticed the same thing with my 06 Coupe. I've had mine for about 6 months with 10,000 miles on it. Been doing it since day one, but nothing ever ends up inside the car. My guess is the odor just gets pulled in from the outside through the vents.

Isn't the cabin air filter just inside the cowl below the wipers? gotta be a connection..

I would turn your climate control to resurculate and see if you still smell it. I've heard a story when someone actually pissed in someones washer fluid.

Every car I ever owned I've noticed this, not a big deal to me really. I think the smell of it comes thru the vents or maybe a hole in the firewall!

No smell when the ventilation system is on recirculate (or max, which draws air from the passenger floorboard area).
