ORIGINAL: F00Mustang

EVERY MUSTANG OWNER SHOULD BUY A DRIVESHAFT.

This is the best mod ever. Even if you don't really care about the fact that is will make the car a little faster, it makes the car much easier to drive. Before, the car allways drove like it was trying to pull a barge or something. Now, even thought the driveshaft is only about 20 lbs lighter, it feels like I've shaved over 500lbs of weight off of the car. It takes off very smoothly now and feels lighter on its feet.

I've actully got the Driveshaft Shop driveshaft, which is steel not aluminum. Mine weighs about 3 pounds more than the powerhouse model, but it is 1 inch smaller in diameter, so the moment of inertia of the shaft is smaller, which actually makes is easier to spins compared to a larger shaft. I got the DSS model only because I got a deal on it. A good budy of mine has the PH model, and I can tell you that both are quality pieces.

Get one - you wont regret it.

I agree. After mine was installed the first thing I noticed was how easily the car took off..........like it was no effort at all. A very noticable difference in driving. Just feels tighter.

With the stock drive shaft it does feel like your towing something really heavy. I didnt even get the towing package with mine...........I guess Ford was giving this feature away for free.

Can somebody tell me why ford put a two piece in the Mustang in the first place? It's not like it really needed one. Seems like a waste.

You know I'm going to have to spot you like 18 car lengths just like in Pinks when I get this driveshaft installed.
