It's a Magnuson Eaton Supercharger and they are big in the GM world.
I have seen a 2005 GTO with one of these running mid 11's with just the blower.

Its a good supercharger, and they will for a few $ extra warranty the powertrain for 3yr/36K mi like Roush dose, but its potential is really not all that great if you want larger numbers down the road. If you are just looking for that little extra I say go for it, I would.

It isn't worth even considering with the Whipple, KB, and Saleen choices out there IMO.

The main things I don’t like are the fact it’s a roots style and the belt setup. Even though it’s been modified it’s still a roots style and if you want more power down the road the power levels are severely limited. The decision to reverse mounts the charger, to give a front intake, created the long drive shaft and extra pulley system. Belts are the worst problem with a supercharger and this just increases the problem. To me this is just more mechanical troubles waiting to happen. With the great TS systems out there I can’t understand why anyone would invest in this system.

I've been looking at every supercharger that I can find for the S197 Mustang. So far Kenne Belle looks like the best buy and the best for the future if you really wanna go fast. They use a twin screw design that is much more efficient than roots blowers. Also their parts are all forged instead of cast and their bearings are larger than any of the other blowers out there. To top off these features their blower also has a larger displacement (26 litre compared to say 22 litre) which means it doesn't have to rotate as fast to produce the same boost as their competitors. This adds up to much more performance as it uses less horsepower to drive its own pump. One other thing, if you decide you want to build an 850HP monster, the KB blower can make it happen by just changing pulleys. Also their pulley kits are about 1/2 the price of their competitors. Check out their website www.kennebell.net

What I did not like about the Kenne bell is that the intake is on the left side, the intake has to cross the front of the motor.
