Default exhaust installation

Installed the Ford Racing stingers. My left side is OK but the right is off and hitting the bumper. I noticed the stock exhaust has a nod on the exhaust and the new exhaust has a cut out in the pipe. I alligned these and played with the brackets but still cant seem to center it. It seems like the exhaust pipe was bent a little to far. I think Im going to have to go to a muffler shop and have them possibly bend it straight. Any recommendations on how I can align it? Also do the clamps install over this nod or do they install beside to it?

I own a couple of flows, installed them at a friends house, then took them to the shop to fine align them at the bridge. Had to loose a bolt an rotate a little the stock overaxle pipe to make them fit right. Lasted about two minutes there.

I installed with no problems like you are describing. No bending is required. I installed just like factory next to notch. Others have installed clamps over or on the other side of the notch.

All you need to do is adjust (Bend) the hanger rods that the muffler is supported by. It is very common to have to do this in order to properly center the tip.

loosen the clamp(with the two 15mm nuts) after the H-pipe and twist the back portion of it.You should'nt have to bend the hangers.

It requires a lot of test fitting. I had to bend the hangers and install it 7 or 8 times while adjusting it until I got it perfect. Just be patient and you'll get it.

+1. Seriously, no need to bend the hangars. You're wasting your time if you do this. Once the mufflers are on, adjust their position by the clamp right after the H-pipe. Believe it or not, this will do the trick. I didn't think it would work... but it does.
