Revving up for a roll race?

Revving up for a roll race?
Is it bad to do a 40 Roll and pop the clutch in and rev it up to 6000 RPMs and let out the clutch for a roll race? It really helps when racing but I don't want to do it if I am going to burn out my clutch [:@]

Burn your clutch? I'd be more worried about snapping a drive shaft with no safety loop, or snapping an axle at the least.

@Moose: Ok, some people told me it was terrible on the clutch.

Could be just me that thinks this is a really bad idea?

Is getting a safety loop worth it?

Is running 40 mph shoving in the clutch, revving to 6.000 rpm and popping the clutch worth it? Wow!

doodad said he did it in a post a wile ago, and he said it help you alot, but I don't dump the clutch, I feather it out, it actually helps a lot, kinda like launching at a higher RPM I guess.
