Shelby GT front splitter on a GT?

RE: Shelby GT front splitter on a GT?
Yes it was my car. The white one with GTR's on it. I've done my mom's and my car so far. I was trying not to post pic's of the car on the topic, but here you go. I really didn't get to talk to anyone. I ended up talking to the guy with the blue pantera for a while and before I knew it we were off to the mountains. Once we go to neptunes I got some food and had to jam home.

so the question is will the lower valance fit? how much work will it require, is it better to pay cervinis a $140 more for one that fits directly?

I think thats the way it is supposed to be...Not painted...like the GT 500 Lip..Please show pics! Does it have to be painted...?
Also i seriously doubt the GT 500 Lip will fit the GT front fascia...but let us know if you try..

The amount of work it requires depends on how you want it to look. It can be bolted up with a couple hours of grinding, but it will look like crap and fit like it too.
It took me quite a while. Alot of grinding, fitting, etc. It was on and off the car at least 10 times and I have not swapped the hardware out to stainless yet. And I still am not sure if it is sitting well enough for me and I might take it down and do a little more grinding so it sits a little flatter.
Holes do show, which require finishing plugs to look right. so I had to source those. The center square tab looks like crap. So I machined a custom plug on the mill at work out of black delrin.
All and all. It was a pita, and I am still not sure it looks finished enough up close (from a distance it looks factory), or if I would do it again. It certainly looks better than any other splitter growth I have seen tacked onto these cars.
Then again, I am not certain the cervinis is really a accurate duplicate, so who knows.

The Cervinis one still has the same holes showing that the factroy one has.
And, if you want the splitter to fit tightly to the bumper, you end up with the part not sitting perfectly flat to the ground with less clearance in the middle compared to the sides because of the wierd shape of the gt bumper. Also the side "wings" by the wheel wells are more vertical on the gt500 because the splitter sits flat. If I loosen the hardware on mine to allow the sides to fit right, then there is a 1/4" gap between the splitter and the bumper.
Overall, I think it is a very good comprimise, but not perfect, or easy. Below are some shots of mine I took a while back. The car was filthy, but you get some idea.
