Default Slick carpet in trunk + 2.5gal container of water

Lesson learnedfor the holidays:

Don't drive your GT around with a 2.5galcontainer of Arrowhead water sliding aroundin the trunk. Kept forgetting to take it out of the trunk until it was too late. The water spigotbroke open and drained 75% of the water into my trunk! Soaked the carpet and the spare tire cover.

Luckily there is a large plug in the spare tire well to let most of the water out. There must have been 2 inches of water in there! Spent a long time wiping up all the water from all the little dips and valleys in the body. Dried all the carpet pieces out too. Very thankful that it didn't get the shaker wet too. Arrrgggghhh what as dumba$$ move that was!

At least it didn't fly into the side and dent the fenders. When I was a kid we put a battery in the truck or our car to take home to another car and we went around a corner to hard and the battery slide to the side a punched a hugh dent out of the trunk into the fender.

I always sit the water jug in a milk crate. Eventhe 18 liter bottles like to fall over.

A couple of years ago there was a picture bouncing around the 'net of the inside of the trunk ofa new Audiafter a "spirited" ride home from Lowe's with a couple of gallon cansof blue paint in the trunk.

That was hysterical....but what a friggin mess........

if there's a LOT of water just remove the clear tape over this hole:
