I'd say don't let the mod-bug get you... but if you have a Shelby either you sold off your children, and all of your unneeded internals... or you've stolen it... or... you simply can afford it! Welcome to the forums, most of us here are just little bitty GTs and V6s, so you'll have to forgive us for a lack of 200 HP and a few cubes.
I don't like the idea of the GT-500 being compared with the Corvette. They are two different vehicles. The GT-500 is a Mustang GT with a larger engine and 6 speed transmission. Slightly beefier suspension, fuel, and brake upgrades. The Corvette is a beautiful machine, where the land of large displacement and high compression lives on. Ford has lost sight of this, and it's doubtful they will ever find it again. Though without the Mustang and it's beautiful curves, we would all be GM guys instead of Ford guys!

Well, if you must know my mother passed away last month. She left me two cars (Rav4 and Lexus SUV). I learned something, that life is short and I have always wanted a Mustang, so I said to myself "why wait a second more". So it is a moving memorial for my mother and a dream come true for me. Her name is "Catfish" nammed after my mother Kathy (her nickname was catfish)

I need to know something for my 07 shelby clone I'm going too do. Does the back end strip go under the simulated rear gas cap emblem or is the strip cut out around it, like it is on the third brake light? Thanks

I used to have one of those too. 
Oh wait you got one of them new ones. [sm=exactly.gif]I had an original one. But I sold it a few years back. [sm=headbang.gif]The current owner let me take it out for a drive last January. Here is a pic from that day.
