Default Roush Hoodscop

If you have installed a Roush Hoodscoop i'd like to know a few questions;

1. Did you install it yourself? If so, did you follow the directions or do it yourself?

2. Did you have a company install it, if so who, and are you happy with it.

3. Do you have any problems with it? What would you have done differently

Thanks guys!

Respectively;

1) Yes. The directions are very straightforward.

2) See 1. Yes, I like it.

3) No problems. If you are going to stripe your car, have the stripes painted on rather than using vinyl. Because it does move around a little in the wind, the scoop tends to pull the vinyl at the edges and causes wrinkles.

The dealership installed ours. Only problem is that after you wash it and dry it, water tends to hide underneath it and can leaves streaks after you have dried it. No other problems.

+3. Great directions and great template for install....Measure about 8 times, drill once.... Also, when you drill, cover your engine bay with an old sheet or something....The aluminum hood drillings go everywhere!![:'(]

Oh, and yes, it is sometimes a water trap following washing......

Easy install, follow the directions like everybody stated, and cover your engine up with a sheet, dont need shavings in there!!!!

I installed mine and seemed to me to be easy.[sm=trust_me.gif]Mine came with large templet that goes on your hood and makes it easy. I have no problems and mine does not blow around at all. It does though trap water but that is a minor problem, as it does come out.
