Is there any way to adjust the low fuel warning?

RE: Is there any way to adjust the low fuel warning?
At least on older vehicles, I've heard running the tank low has more chance of sucking up whatever crap has been in the fuel tank for a while (rust, etc), and ends up in the fuel filter, or the engine.
I can remember my parents always being careful about counting mileage, and generally being paranoid about having enough gas because they'd been hung out to dry by old fuel guages malfuntioning. I guess nowadays we trust technology more...heck I wait for the "50 miles left" dinger, but I do it less after I turned the car on one day and it told me I had like 7 miles until E, when I had over a 1/4 of tank.....yay for technology.

If you are able to change it and then run out of gas because you weren't warned in time, You will be sorry..... Keep the top half full, is standard California Freeway driver practice.
