MRT hood struts on 2007???
So, hubby got me MRT hood struts for Christmas, and we went out to install today. The bottom bracket that's supposed to fit over the fender bolt doesn't fit right, the hole is about 1/4" off of where it's supposed to be to fit right so it's a complete no-go. I checked, and these do say they are for the '05+ models.
Anybody else have this problem? Has anyone successfully installed the MRT hood struts on an '07?
What about the CDC struts? Anybody done those on an '07?
Going to be rather irritating if I have to pay postage to ship these suckers back....

Thanks for the pic. That't exactly the way we tried to put them on per the instructions, but when the bottom bracket is positioned flush against the edg/corner there, the hole for the bolt doesn't line up properly on the 2007. Seems odd that it would be different from the '06, but there it is.

Well the brackets were not perfectly flush on mine when lined up, but they flattened out easily when tightening the bolt. The brackets aren't bent perfectly to start, but i'm not sure how off yours are.
I highly doubt the 07's fenders are different from my 06, but anythings possible with ford.

I too had the problem, but only with right side. I juststarted the bolt by hand and cranked it down the bracket "adjusted" the edge of the fender to line up.
Just goes with the territory when using aftermarket and custom parts on a production car. What was mocked up on one car may not fit another one. My Midwest Auto Gear strut tower covers were OK for Midwest on his car, but when I put my set on there wasn't enough clearance and my hood bulge up.

Thanks moosestang, you're the man. We went right out and did what you said, and it worked fine and it's all installed. You rock!
@billb60, our problem was on the right (driver) side only as well, and the passenger side fit much better.
Thanks for all the help! This is exactly what brought me to this forum!
