The first dealer I went to, the salesman said you couldn't order a GT w/o a spoiler. They often don't have a clue....have to do your own research before showing up at the dealership.

I was under the impression that the manual was equipped with the 3.55 as standard, as well. Are the 3.31's Posi?

Standard in 05 & 06. Optional in 07. The only sense I can make for this is a way for Ford to get another $100 for the car.

i believe that the factory 3.55 rear end is also 31 spline axles, and the 3.31 are 29 spline axle. read this somewhere, could be wrong.

the 3:31's are so that FoMoCo can meet federal mileage standards. Most guys dont keep their 3:55's anyhow. NONE of our cars have a posi-traction rear end. We have a Traction-Lock, which is a limited slip - not a posi. There is a difference.

The difference between 3:31's and 3:55's shouldnt be a crying matter anyway
