Default Low Droning Noise / Anyone experience this?

I have a 2005 V6 that just turned over to 16,000 miles. Since the car turned over to 10,000 miles i have experienced a low droining noise when i apply the brakes at 45 MPH or faster. I can also feel somethingin the pedal. It does not feel like a rotor grinding, but i can definatly feel something that i can only describe asfriction. My first thought was that this was a rotor problem. But, i can run fy finger across the rotors and feel absolutely no scratches or grooves. Has anyone else experienced this? My only modification is a set of 17" Bullit wheels and Pirellie tires that i purrchased from Saleen. Could the larger wheels (originally had 16" stock) have effected the brakes in some way?

I have reluctantly made an apointment to have the dealership take a look at the car on Monday. I hate doing this because i an incredibly **** about my Mustang. I do all of my own maintinence to avoid anoyone else touching my car. This will be the first time since i purchased the car in January 06 that i have taken the car in for warranty work. Any thought on what this might be? I would much rathter fix it myself if i can figure out what it is.

I have the same problem on my 06. When getting off the freeway at about 55 I can hear something when braking...can somewhat feel it in the brake pedal.....below 45 seems to be fine.....rotors are good and I have the factory 16's on it. Have not taken it to Ford for THAT problem.....I will hear it's the NATURE OF THE BEAST

Is it a pulsating or constant feeling? I am about to turn 18k on my 06 GT and my brakes feel perfectly fine, apart from an intermittent squeak here and there, which I believe to be normal.

My first thought is that your rotors are just starting warp, and what you are feeling is the pulse feedback, but it is small enough so that it doesn't feel like a pulse, but rather a constant "something". This type of thing doesn't tend to be too noticable at low speeds until they really get warped. Do you do a lot of high speed heavy braking?

This is just my guess; I'm no mechanic, but I have had vehicles in the past that needed constant rotor replacement due to warping [:@]

I have had the rotor problems in the past with the normal pulsating (Chryslers are good for it).....this is just a sound hard to describe only when braking at certain times.....nothing bad and have gotton use to it....now the bobbling noise in the front end low speeds when going over bumps is another post that I was involved in...now that has been irratating...have a good New Years
