Default Granatelli G-load brace question

I just bought a Granatelli G-load A-arm brace and was going to install this evening, but noticed something that may be a problem. The instructions show the head of the bolt on top with the nut towards the ground. However on my car the head of the bolt is towards the ground with the nut on top. This I didn't think would be a problem but also noticed that the piece of the k member the brace is supposed to sit against has a raised bump in it, perhaps to keep the head of the bolt from turning. So do I have to use washers to space the brace down far enough so it doesn't interfere with this raised section? I thought maybe I could just install the brace on top but I don't think it will have enough clearance with the bellhousing. I also noticed some other holes that face front to back and I may be able to just bolt it up to those holes. I think they are the holes some of the other braces with torque limiters use. Has anyone else had this problem or experience with these braces? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. I`t's kind ofdiscouraging because Ihaven't had some disaapointmentswith all the aftermarket stuff I've done so far. Steeda sent me a tri-axand it was missing one of the stop bolts. Steeda's underdrive crank pulley didn't have sufficient clearance with the timing case, and I put a Hellwig rear sway bar on which didn't come with all the bolts it was supposed to.

My car also had the nut to the top and it fit fine. I think the brace sits on the bottom side of the AArmframe. My car is at Vortech so I can't double check it. Granatelli actually posted info on this over the summer, not sure what forum though.
