just an update... i took it out yesterday at about 80 on the freeway and it seemed really good. a whole lot better than before. but the wind was not blowing so maybe the real test is yet to come. and jbailer, ya the dealer doesent do much. i dont think they know much to be honest. nothing against them, but i just dont think they know how to look for slop in the latch and adjusting the hood stops is an easy way out. they need to ride in one on the freeway on a very windy day and then maybe they would search farther.

Thanks - I will give it a try - I have also noticed it in a strong headwind at lower speeds also.

I know I'm late to this thread so apologies in advance.

This is my first Mustang but have owned more than a few Fords.
I am starting to see some similarities between problems with the Mustangs and with my former car, the Focus SVT.

The early SVT's had a water problem on the passenger side, mostly from an improperly desinged windshield cowling over the cabin air filter box. This was fixed by either getting the re-designed cowling or using silicone sealant. Mine did not have this problem as it had the new part.

All SVT's (And ZX3's) seemed to have a problem with the hatch bouncing around on Bumps. This was fixed (Mostly) by adjusting the Hatch stops, not unlike the hood shake problem. I did notice this last Saturday when I was driving in windy conditions. I had to pull into a parking lot and open the hood and close it again to make sure. (Maybe when my car gets out of the shop it will be fixed as they are putting on a new hood!!)

I guess my point is that these are not really new problems that are being experienced, they have just been re-born in a new vehicle. [:@]!

Kind of makes me wonder why this stuff happens.
Just my newbie 2 cents.
