I ordered my 07 back on 11/6/06, built on 12/6/06 and now in transit. I know where the railyard is that the car is probably sitting in waiting to be delivered who knows when. (My brother works at the dealership and talked to the driver of the transport company). What do you think the chances are that I could sweet talk security into letting my see and take some pictures of the car while its in the shipping process. I technically own the car now as its paid for and can show paperwork. I would like to document its progress. My brother will be taking photos and doing the dealer prep when it gets to his dealership but think pics before would be cool. Feedback??

FWIW, I deal with CSX on a daily basis, and the only way they let me into the switchyard is if I tell them one of my cars might be leaking dangerous chemicals.

If you are so concerned about the progress of your car why not pick it up at the factory? Save on the transportation charge.

I'm confused (not uncommon), but my car was built on 5/11/06, and at the dealer on 5/19/06. It was built a month ago, and still in transit ? Please advise.

RT1, The car is off of the CSXrail and in the hands of acompany called Total Distribution Services Inc, (TDSI) which is a transfer point from rail to truck. Orion, if I had know that was an option I would have considered it. However, before the car leaves the dealer it is going to be striped, have the windows tinted, American Racing Rogue 20's w/ Nitto 555's installed and Eiboch Pro Springs installed.

I've got very similar order and build dates to yours, and I'm still waiting. According to the dealer, it was supposed to arrive the week of December 18th. Contacted him that week on the car's status "In transit, should be here any day." The following week he told me the district rep (???)was "putting a tracer on it." This past week the line was "It will be here next week." I'll believe it when I see it. Iunderstand thatproduction and even shipping delays happen, especially around the holidays, but I (and many family/friends) don't understand how the dealershipcan beclueless about the car's status.

Mine released on 12/19... They said should be here by Jan 1.... riiiight.
Now all I get is "we will call you when we hear anything" Is it just me or does anyone else think it is crazy that they dont know exactly where the car is at all times, once it has left the plant? Has anyone goth their car yet? How much longer can this possibly last???
