I'm in kind of the same situation. Last time I drove a manual trans regularly was like 16 years ago. So I've been re-learning it all with my Mustang. I've found that the trans is definitely a lot happier with me if I pause briefly between pulling it out of one gear and putting into the next. It's slower, but the next gear definitely engages easier. One thing about the T3650 is that it's kind of noisy, so it'll "talk" to you when you're not driving smoothly which kind of helps me to learn how to keep it happy.

Keep the clutch pushed in I hate waiting for those people at the light but really, what rpm's are you shifting at don't be afriad to use the whole gear well not the whole gear but if you are having jerking issues try waiting alittle longer and see if it does not help you out.

I'd say anywhere between 2500 and 3000 RPM for shifting around town...

keeping the clutch "disengaged" with the clutch pedal to the floor puts unnecessary wear on the throwout bearing (which presses on the pressure plate fingers).

The throwout bearing is a common "failure" point which can necessitate an early clutch replacement......thus the general rule not to sit with the clutch pedal pushed in.
