UPGRADE THE HEADLIGHTS

RE: UPGRADE THE HEADLIGHTS
Im running luminics in my fog lights and noyka in my headlights. If you have stock fogs dont change them cause the small black insert inside the light will fall out due to heat. It happened to me and ford will not replace under warranty. I had to buy a set of fogs that would support the heat of a 7000k light 140 bucks after a 30 dollar set of bulbs.07 GT

Anyone have any experience with these?

RE: UPGRADE THE HEADLIGHTS
I replaced my fog lights using SilverStars with absolutely no problem. You just have to remove the whole fog light grille and just be careful (or at least that's what I did).

If you go with an HID conversion, don't just try to buy a "replacement bulb" kit, no matter WHAT the kit says.
HID kits, to be fully effective, require the reflector headlamps. Without them, your bulb can actually be less focused and dimmer than a stock bulb.
Go with something like the Saleen HID conversion kit, if ou're going to do it..

I have had the Silverstars for about 4 months without any issues. They are an improvement over the stock bulbs. I kinda wish they would go ahead and burn out to give me an excuse to buy the Silverstar Ultras.....or a Bi Xenon kit

Save your money and buy an HID kit. I promise, you'll never go back to conventional bulbs/headlights again. I first put them in my Mazda6, then had to have them in my Dakota R/T. Then HAD to have on in my Gixxer 600 and now they're going in my GT!

Please tell us what HID kit works well? Are they high and low beams? Many on EBay and other places are not both.

Out of curiosity what was the wattage of the bulbs you inserted in the fog lamps that caused the damage?
I'm considereng either the Luminic 45W ion H10s or the Noyka 45W ions for my fog lamps.
TIA

I'm not sure I follow, the kelvin scale when applied to lights is not an actual temperature scale but rather an apparent color temperature of a light source indicating a degree of blueness or redness. It's the wattage of the bulb which will determine how hot it gets. A 7000k 45W bulb will be a lot cooler than say a 2500k 80W bulb where voltage is the same. In the case of the GT fog lamps the factory bulb is a 9145 at 45W. Some people are switching out the 45W bulbs for 55W or 65W bulbs and that's where the problem of heat occurs.
