I put Flowmaster 3 chamber with 4 in tips on mine and it sounds good.
And the 4inch tips look better than stock.
Oh, by the way, the series 40,50,60, 70, 80 are the length of the muffler, All but the 40 series come in 2 or 3 chamber, for flowmaster that is.

Without starting a brawl here. And in no way trying to bash SN95 guys.
Personally. I absolutly hated the tinny, hollow sound the SN95 cars made. The carssounded likea tiny small block breathing into atrumpet.
While our engines are still 4.6L, I have recieved nothing but compliments on how my 06 sounds. Andthe exhaust is stock. These cars sound outstanding cranking through the gears at 6500 rpm with a CAI and tune. Someone I know with a GT500 was surprised at how nice the GT sounded. He actually liked the burble of the GT better than the GT500.
I will admit it could be a bit rumblier and louder at idle. Maybe the GTA muffs will find their way under my car after a while. But thathas alot to do with the cams and the fact that it is a few liters short of that big-block sound.
Ford did a great job with the sound on these cars and did more research than any aftermarket company did I am sure.
I have heard 40 series mufflers with an off road H. They were very nice at the side of the road and really mean sounding. But inside the car, not too nice IMO.

I have LMs and on the way home last night I heard an sn95 OVER my car with my windows closed. It had to be crazy loud to be able to drown my LMs out while my windows were up. I totally agree that most of them sound like crap but every now and then I see one that just sounds awesome as hell.

I didn't read all the responses but I have to say though I like the way my car sounds I do like the way the 2 valve 4.6 sound better.
