Blackice = Wreck
 

i was on ogden ave. today at around 6pm going back home and i was driving only 15mph cuz it was very busy. well, there was a van inftont of me with that metal towing thing on his bumber and he hit the brakes, not hard just normal and i hit the brake just a little to slow down and i had like 3 cars behind him and suddenly my ABS activated and the car slipped (felt like i hit the gas, instead of brakes) and baammm, rear ended this dude.. first 5 seconds, i was like, "NO, this is not happening, i was so slow and i hit the brakes and how come this car slipped?" then i got out of the car, and slipped and grabbed the door or i was gonna fall down and i fugred that second, FREAKING BLACK ICE!!! they were 8-9 mexicans and i asked them if they are ok and they said yeah and the told me that they are ok with the accident and since they didnt even have scratch on their cars because we were so slow and i checked my car, just a hole in my bumper.. that metal towing thing went through my bumper.. thats all.. the funny thing is, i was looking on e-bay to get Xenon front bumber and rear bumper for my car and now i got a reasion.. i just need a bumper, nothingelse.. nothing serious..

nothing like an accident to justify an unessecary purchase... Thats how i got my rear fascia... sucks but it works out...

That sucks man!?! I would do the same though... get a body kit.... or front anyway.

You hit a van full of Mexicans? I hope you didn't give them your information. I hit the back end of a Mexican's Astro Van, barely bent his bumper, but it effed up my ZX2 (long gone now). When I hit him, I called 911, operator asked if everyone was fine, he said yes. Then my mom pulled up in her brand new Mazda Millenia, and suddenly he had back pains and had to go the hospital. I later found out my insurance company paid out $10,000 to him for "pain, suffering and medical expenses".

Sucks though, sorry. Time to upgrade!!!

Oof...this thread makes me never want to see Winter here in MA (and so far this year, we haven't ;)). Glad to hear you're able to take it all in stride. Sh*t Happens. At least it was at really low speeds.
