I had one back in the day when I owned a Honda. My friend has an AEM CAI and the same thing happened to him except he doesn't care and just put silicone over it lol.

Have you thought about contacting the Better Business Bureau? If you do, I would make sure to have all your emails with them handy, and if you do contact them again, keep a log on a notepad or something...that sort of thing tends to come in handy.
