Default mustang gt + having fun = reckless driving charge

well guys, it finally happened to me. i got 5 moving violations including a reckless driving charge on 12/31. i was only doing 90, but i was weaving through lanes and not using my turning signal. i was 100% sober too...just late for my gf's party.

anyway, i got charged with:

speeding 92 in a 55
improper lane usage
fail to use turn signal
following too closely
reckless driving

the cop said to plead not guilty and i should be able to bargain with the prosecutor in court to reduce it to just a speeding ticket with supervision (meaning nothing will go on my record). im not too sure it's gonna happen. any advice? and please spare the drive slower, stop being stupid, stop driving that way, comments, cause you know you all have driven like this when there weas almost no traffic on the road at one point or another.

fyi, i have 20 speeding tickets in the past 6 years, but only 1 on my record (thank God for Illinois loopholes in the court system that allow you to basically drive as fast as you want as long as you are willing to pay the extra $$$). still, think i can bargain with 1 previous speeding ticket? it was in march 2006, if that matters. im in law school, but i have yet to study traffic tickets and i dont have class until well into next week.

any suggestions on how to handle this? and again, spare the "drive slower, you *******!" comments etc.

+1

I hope the judge throws the book at ya and you learn a lesson.

You are an example of why the insurance is so high in these cars.

Please slow down....

Seriously.. you ask us to take it easy on you.. then you say you have had 20 tickets... I know Illinois HWP are harsh... but you have to be a really $hitty driver to get that many tickets.. I drive like an *** plenty of times.. but i also am paying attention to the road. I have never been given a ticket when I have been paying attention.. only when I daze off. It's called situational awareness.. and if you don't have it.. you have no business speeding... cause you are going to kill someone.
Speeding + Not paying attention = accident.

Yeah i think the three guys above me about covered it. You almost sound like your proud of driving this way. Maybe the only way to stop you from driving with your head up your *** is to kill someone. I surely hope that doesn't happen but at your rate that is where your headed. Good luck with Law School after that cause you'll need it.

You're screwed, especially if you're young. If the judge doesn't throw the book at you, your insurance company surely will.

Sorry i'm a realist.

What a dumb *** post! You can't be this dumb. Now why would you want to admit to the whole world that you're stupid??? What did you expect to get from members of the forum... loves and kisses? As a matter a fact you know exactly what kind of posts you weregoing to get so, because you've even prep'd yourself withthe comments to those who will give you hell.

In case you can't figure it out for yourself... solution:
speeding 92 in a 55 - Slow down
improper lane usage - change lanes properly
fail to use turn signal - use the turn signal... that's why they install them in the car.
following too closely - quit tailgating
reckless driving - da.... quit driving recklessly
The only thing you did right was "i was 100% sober"...
"i have 20 speeding tickets in the past 6 years, but only 1 on my record " Now that's something to boast about... again showing your butt to the whole world how stupid you are.

Take your own advice... drive slower, stop being stupid, stop driving that way.

As for your comment about "... cause you know you all have driven like ..." Yeah, but we didn't get caught. You got caught 20 times in the last 6 years.

BTW... you just think your going to be a lawyer.... you're not smart enough.... how about an ambulance driver???... if you still have your drivers licence.
