Whats wrong with my Shaker1000 subs?
Well, I thought this radio sounded weak. We demo'd a 05 GT with a Shaker500 and it sounded great for a stock setup. We bought an 07GT with the shaker1000 and I'm disappointed. I'm pretty sure somethings wrong with the subs. As a matter of fact, there is cleaner bass and better sound with the shaker turned off. With it turned on it almost sounds like the subs are cancelling each other out, you know like when you hook up a sub box and the postive and negative aren't right and the subs hardly have any sound?
So has anyone else had this problem? I suppose I will dig into the trunk tomorrow and check things out but didn't want to waste time if there is something else going on here.
Thanks,
John

Thats why I am going aftermarket! Get rid of the radio the speakers and the subs and replace with quality parts that are much better than what Ford ever offered. But if that is not possible than go to the dealer and have them look at it. They rate the subs with interior speakers as well as being able to produce 120 db's of sound total! That should be loud and low enough for anyone. A jet engine at full thrust is 140 db's....just an FYI
