I'm having exhaust installed tomorrow...

I'm having my Cat-back installed tomorrow...is there anything I should have the installer be aware of? Or is there something anyone recommends I tell them to do for me? Let me know please. Thanks.

Yes, notify them of this asap because this is urgent. You must cancel the appointment and do the install yourself! It is the easiest thing to do all you need is a 15mm socket wrench and a jack and jackstands. Also 30 minutes of your time. Trust me you will thank me and be very pleased with yourself that you did it yourself.

lol...thanks Jeff but I'm going to have them weld everything in. If I wasn't, then I would definitely do it myself. ;) Cheers.

there's no fun in paying somebody else to install a catback....but to each his own....what system did you go with?

You better double check the work before they take it off the lift, I had a cat-back installed on my new-edge mustang and they didn't weld it and the tailpipes fell off half a mile down the road, got all my money back for that one.

And there's just something about being the first person ever to hear that new exhaust roar for the first time that you miss out on when someone at a shop installs it for you. The mechanic is going to be there revving your car and playing around with it and everything before you get a chance to hear it.

But eh, whatever makes you happy. My Flowmaster AT came in today but it just has to sit it's box in my basement until the weather here is warm enough to install it myself (which probably won't be until March-ish).

unless your getting an xpipe its stupid to buy a catback, the h is fine enough, just get an axleback and it will be the same thing instead of paying an extra 200 bux for the 2 midpipes that you already have

Its just important that you are aware you must post sound clips of it ASAP :)congrats and oh BTW youll prob be getting about 14 mpg when you get it installed because youll want to hear it all day and youll be driving with your windows down no matter how cold it is

Does anyone else do this when its real cold i wont do it all the time but ill roll them down when im merging or getting on it

The difference between a catback and an axelback is.... ZERO.

I hope you are having only an axelback installed... otherwise you payed for some useless tubing...

I would bolt it on myself, and listen to it awhile before you get it welded. If you don't like it, welding is more permanent.
