I've always hated "witnesses to accidents" because I was almost burned by one in my first accident. A lady turned left, hitting me head on, as I was crossing an intersection. It was totally her fault, (the cops agreed and her insurance paid for everything) but this stupid guy pulled over saying he witnessed everything and I was at fault.

I thought, "what the hell is wrong with this guy? Pulling over and wasting over an hour of his time to tell the cops what he saw. Doesn't he have anything better to do with his life?"

Maybe I was just pissed because he didn't take my side but I've always hated "witnesses to accidents". I've never pulled over to be one, even though I've witnessed many accidents. I guess it works both ways. Maybe I'll start pulling over now. Good story.

Youd be surprised. Out of ALLLLL the accidents ive ever worked, id say that only 10% of the time did a witness ever stop and give me a statement. And thats if were lucky. LOL
