Default diablosport tuner

Hey guys,

originally i was going to get a SCT Xcal 2 off Brenspeed.

BUT, where i live, NO ONE tunes with the XCAL, no one really has experience with it.
All local dyno tuners use diablosport.

So, because of the lack of availability of tuners, i might be forced to get a diablo.

Any downsides to using a diablo?
Is 1 tuner better than the other?

TIA

If you are having your car tuned locally, go with the tuner that the shop you choose recommends. If the Diablosport is what they are familiar with, you will get a better tune using their prefered tuner.

Canned tunes are for guys like me who dont have easy access to a tuner with a dyno and are ok with brenspeed tunes being close enough. If you have a tune shop with a dyno go with that, Diablo tuners are actually nicer than SCT,easier to read and use, all that matters is the tuner putting the data in and if they know their ****.

Thanks for the replies.

Now the question is where to order a Diablosport tuner from.

Ordering within Canada is out of the question as most places want $549-$599 CAD for them.

Anyone know a decent online place to order 1?

TIA

If you are going with a local tuner then you should just get it from them. They will dyno the car and develope a tune and it will come preloaded into the tuner for you if you need to take the tune out at a later date.

I have a brand new, unused Diablosport Predator for the 2005-2006 Mustangs that I am selling. It comes with the 3 stock tunes on it (87, 91, 93 octanes). I just got my car dynoed and they used an X-Cal2, so I won't be needing the Predator.

I will sell it to you for $325 usdollars.
