New Car Pics and other stuff
The euphoria is still there. The obsession is worse than when I was waiting for the car to arrive. Almost 200 miles on the clock over the past 3 days (all local driving).
Saturday Morning -- Played 18 holes, didn't care if I hit a bad shot because I was one shot closer to driving the Mustang
Saturday Afternoon -- First "she looks sharp" compliment. Other driver was a middle-aged gentleman with a Mercedes.
Saturday Night -- Deuce McAllister runs all over the Eagles. I don't care, because I'm driving the Mustang tomorrow.
Saturday Night -- "Want another beer, hon?" "No thanks. Gotta take it easy, I'm driving the Mustang....tomorrow. Wanna be sharp out there." Puzzled look from the Mrs.
Sunday Afternoon -- Mall Hell with the wife. Thinking quickly, I find a copy of 5.0 Mustangs and wait patiently for her outside each store.
Sunday Evening -- "24" premiere. Finally a respite from the obsession. About 50 minutes into it I start wondering if Jack Bauer would use a Brenspeed or B a m achips tune. Nah, screw it, he'd go straight to Carroll Shelby....
Monday Afternoon -- First wave from a fellow 'Stanger...guys & gals, we need a secret handshake. I waved to a bunch of guys and got nary a return greeting.
The car...and the dead boyfriend (Please note: Before any of you child rights advocates or aspiring police detectives get your panties in a bunch, the "cooperative victim" was my 17-year old son (5'9", about 160, in case you were measuring). "Actually it was comfy in there.".)
