There a few guys here who have done them.Im sure they will chime in.The stage 3 cams are good for an honest 30-35 RWHP with a good tune from what I understand though.

Yes, you can expect about 35 HP. However, it does require some supporting mods too: LT headers,a very large intake, larger TB, etc. There was a guy on M odularfords who did a cam swap with shorties & a standard CAI and he only got about 20 HP.

Brenspeed has a very good writeup about it. Go to www.brenspeed.com and check out the "tech" section.

I got 38 hp out of mine with the custom dynotuning for a total of 345/332 to the rear wheels. I was already runninglong tubes and several other mods. I am very happy with mine. The idle, if dropped, sounds awesome. I have mine set at 545 rpm's and the lope is very noticeable. It actually rocks the car. The labor is intense though.

Back in the day a cam was one of the first things I would put in one of my GTO's. Now its the last and "labor intensive" funny how things change

You are absolutely right. I was doing cam swaps in 4 hours on my old muscle cars, now it takes 12 hours.[>:] Not to mention a grand for cams and springs.

Yeah, I do EVERYTHING myself and the cam install I would've done until I ordered my valve springs and retainers with them.

Anyway great mod, just open your wallet!

You can get the cams and springs from Brentspeed for just under 1k and expect to pay over 1k for the install. We are doing them for $1000 labor.
