In my home town in Nor Cal, I woulda had that car on a trailor to the impound lot in this situation...the cops there are trained to look for illegal modifications, and he would have had no sympathy for the exhaust, the being too low to the ground, and non-CARB legal intake, ect. I've seen it happen at least.

You can't get your car impounded for having a modified exhasut.
Sleeper05, you did do something wrong by having tint on your car and the third brake light and no license plate. Doesn't mean your a bad guy or driverbut it's the CHP's job do what he did. He did have a reason to pull you over.
If any of you guys had to walk up to a car with blacked out, or 20%, you would feel the same about tint on cars.
Most cops don't care about exhaust, but they all have their pet peaves.

Hey Sleeper,
glad to hear you got out of that one. That would've been a big chunk of either time or money to get those headers switched out. I went with high-flow cats even though i'm in Florida with now SMOG testing but just to be safe I went that route.
Again glad you got out of that one and definatley could've been worse.

You should feel lucky that you live in a town where the cops have nothing better to do than enforce equipment laws.
Kidding aside though, the "I hate cops" post by someone previously is a bit outta line. I was 17 once, too, and I was targeted plenty just because I was young and had a fast car..whether I was driving fast or not didnot matter.
But, I have come to firmly beleive that the VAST majority of police men and women are great people, and would unhesitatingly put their lives on the line to protect me or my family.
So....before you decide that you hate cops, think about the times that they have been around when people needed them. Please come visit the National Law Enforcement Memorial here in Washington DC, and see the names of thousands who have died trying to make our streets safer. Some of the names are of people whom I had the privilege of knowing.
OK....off my soapbox now.
